SLTC IEEE Website
The IEEE student branch of SLTC is one of the potential university branches in Sri Lanka and
has produced many young student leaders of IEEE. The SLTC IEEE Web Page is a project which will be initiated to provide and display specific collection of information in coherent fashion about the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC, IEEE WIE Affinity Group of SLTC, IEEE IES Student Branch chapter of SLTC, IEEE IAS of
SLTC and IEEE CS Student Branch Chapter of SLTC.
We have developed the SLTC IEEE Web Page in a format of a Dynamic Website as the website
will be linked with the Database. Currently, the website is hosted in a private server at Sri Lanka Technological campus and you can visit the site at https://ieee.sltc.ac.lk .
Basically, the website has 4 main functionalities.
- Making platform for SLTC IEEE student branch or chapter articles. (Blog articles)
- Platform for events organized by SLTC IEEE student branch or chapters
- For publishing news that serves as opportunities to SLTC students. News section divides into 3 sections.
- Global section news
- Sri Lanka section news
- Campus section news
- Serves as an information pool of SLTC IEEE Student branch executive committee members
Other than that, there are several objectives for SLTC IEEE Website. They are,
- Promoting the Organizational names of the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC and its Chapters.
- Providing quality contents about the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC and its Chapters.
- Portraying the mission and vision of the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC.
- Displaying the creative capabilities of the SLTC IEEE.
- Expanding the IEEE Student Branch in to the international platform.
- Giving a good impression to the community who are interested in the IEEE.
Project Content
- Home page
- A ‘Welcome’ note and a brief note on ‘’Who we are’ are displayed on the home page by welcoming and introducing organizational name to the viewers.
- A brief description of the topics ‘About IEEE’ and ‘About us’ are exhibited for the viewers in order to get an overall idea about the IEEE and the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC.
- Also, it shows the latest projects done by the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC and its chapters.
- Some images of featured events done by the IEEE student branch of SLTC and its chapters with headings and short descriptions can be seen herewith this section.
- The members of the IEEE Student Branch and the Chairmen of all the chapters are displayed as the last sector of Home Page.
- Blog page
- The blog page consists of chapter wise articles which are written by members of the relevant chapters of the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC.
- All the articles are displayed in a timeline manner.
- By clicking on the ‘view’ button, the viewer can obtain the full article to read.
- Events page
- The upcoming events which will be organized by the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC and its chapters will be displayed here.
- Furthermore, the details of the events can be gathered by clicking the ‘view’ button.
- The past events can be searched by using the search panel on the top of the page and get to know about the information of them.
- News page
- On this page, news related to the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC and also the local and international news about other Student Branches can be viewed.
- News can be searched by using the ‘search’ bar at the top.
- About IEEE page
- On this page, there are detailed descriptions of IEEE which provides a networking opportunity as well as to learn, share ideas and improve the skills.

- This page consists of detailed description of the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC which inspires the SLTC community through its technical standards and educational & professional activities
- Executive Committee page
- Details about the Advisory Panel Members of the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC who are the roots of the Student Branch are displayed in this section.
- And also, the details about the members of the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC are displayed in chapter wise in this division. Their names, position, profile picture, email address, phone number, LinkedIn link, Twitter link are included for the reference of the viewers.
