It is an honor to inform you that we have recently formed the IEEE Photonics Society and IEEE Sensors Council Miami section Joint Chapter.

We are going to host an event titled “Introduction to Ansys Lumerical- the power of Photonics” on September 9th at 3.00 PM (EST) in collaboration with  IEEE Young Professionals (YP) and  IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE), Miami section affinity group. We are delighted to have Ms. Fatema Chowdhury as a speaker for the session. Ms. Fatema Chowdhury is working as Ansys Product sales manager (Optics & Photonics) at Ansys, Canada. Her area of expertise is optics and photonics. She holds a MASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta and a MASc in Physics from the University of Dhaka. Her research involved the study and optimization of optical properties of semiconductor thin films for device applications.
