Back to the Future with Analog Computing
The “Back to the future with Analog Computing” webinar of the IEEE IES Student Branch Chapter was held virtually via zoom on 23rd of July 2021.
The moderator for the event Ms. Heshani Munasinghe started the event and introduced and invited the event co-chair, Mr. Vidura Karunarathna to welcome the guests to the event. After that the guest speaker for the day was introduced and the session was handed over to the speaker.
The guest speaker, Ms. Hasantha Malavipathirana; a PhD candidate and a Graduate Research Assistant at RAND lab, Florida International University is currently conducting research on designing analog integrated circuits for scientific computing and array signal processing. She conducted a very explanatory and in-depth speech about the newest trends in analog computing. Afterwards, an interactive Q & A session was carried out to allow the audience to clarify their problems directly from the guest speaker.
Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by the event co-chair, Ms. Dinithi Silva and the event was concluded.
