Cultural Program
To identify the great work done by our hard working engineers, every year 15th September is celebrated as “Engineer’s Day” marking the birthday of Sir Mokshagundam Vishweshwarayya, recognizing his contributions in the field of hydro power energy in India. On the occasion of engineer’s day , Uttaranchal Institute Of Technology organised a cultural programme held at UIT Seminar Hall in a befitting manner yesterday (15/09/2021). The seminar hall had been set up in grandeur arrangement; all the gates, performance area were covered with flowers and other decorative stuff. The programme has been started on its scheduled time i.e., 11:00 in the morning, with an inauguration by Honourable chancellor of Uttaranchal University Shri Jitender Joshi ji, along with dignitaries honourable vice chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna ji of Uttaranchal University ,Prof ( Dr.) S.D Pandey (Dean, UIT), principle of polytechnic Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Kumar Shah, Dr. Meenakshi Memoria (HOD, CSE), Mr. S.K Joshi (HOD, ME), Mr. Awdhesh.C.Moli (HOD, CE), Mr. Devender Kumar(HOD, ECE) and other distinguished personalities by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
After the felicitation of the distinguished dignitaries by HOD of CSE department Dr. Meenakshi Memoria, Honourable Prof.(Dr.) S.D Pandey (Dean, UIT) addressed the gathering and pay remarkable tribute to the Greatest Indian Engineer Bharat Ratna Mokshgundam Visvesvaraya. Honourable chancellor of Uttaranchal University shri. Jitender joshi ji , advised and encouraged all the students to work harder in their life to get sure success. At that moment he also blessed the function and recommended the upcoming engineers of Uttaranchal University not only perform the best in academics but also infuse overall development through various extracurricular activities conducted and taught by their capable faculty members.
Prof (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Vice chancellor of Uttaranchal University prominently told the students that they are the flag bearers of today’s society, so Engineers must have core knowledge, skill and abilities for success at every front . He also discussed the value of engineering and how world cultivate under new innovations. He advised them to take the legacy of engineers and recognize the true worth of knowledge.
After that, Cultural event was diligently organized. An opening musical presentation (KUL GEET) made the audience feel the warmth followed by a marvellous Kathak Performance by the student, then heart winning Garhwali song and various other group dances, solo performances took place in which B.Tech students of UIT gave their best. Total 16 students had participated and performances were judged by Mr. Arvind singh Rawat(Assistant Professor, ECE) and Mr. Gaurav Thakur(Assistant Professor, CE) , People enjoyed this Cultural Programme a lot with loud clapping.
The audience comprising all respected HODS’, of the department, faculties, students, staff, who enjoyed every item of the programme with a great fun. A series of recognition and prize money were given away to the cultural program students by Honourable Chancellor sir, Shri Jitender Joshi ji in order to encourage young brain to do lot more better and creative in their near future, first position secured by Juhi Kothiyal (CSE 2nd yr), second position sneha-Isha Group (ME 4TH yr)and third winner was Ayush Rawat(CSE 3rd year) on their performances However , everybody enjoyed the cultural function .
