Grades of Automation (GoA) in Railway Signalling
Transit authorities around the world are increasing the degree of automation on their metro networks and industry professionals need to understand the various levels of automation possible. Grades of Automation or GoA, as defined in IEC 62290-1:2014, is one such standard used to determine the level of automation for an operating railroad. This seminar will explore the different grades of automation from GoA0 to GoA4 and describe the basic functions that define each grade.
