Biography:

Hare Krishna Ratha received the B.Tech. degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and M.Tech. degree in Telecommunications System Engineering from Sambalpur University, India, and IIT Kharagpur, India in 1988 and 1996 respectively. He had been working in Defence Research & Development Organisation, India for the last 25 years in various capacities. Currently he is the Director at Integrated Test Range, Defence Research & Development Organisation, India. His research interests broadly include various range technologies like real-time data acquisition, communication, computing, and flight termination.

He is also the Chair of IEEE Communications and Computer Joint Societies Chapter and Vice-Chair Bhubaneswar Subsection.

Application of AI in Defence System and Object Tracking

Biography:

Dr. Debanga Raj Neog received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada in 2018, co-advised by Prof. Dinesh K. Pai and Prof. Robert J. Woodham. Before that, he completed his B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG). His interdisciplinary research work has covered the areas of computer vision, computer graphics, neuroscience, machine learning, and augmented reality. He is a recipient of the Mitacs Globalink Research Award under which he worked with the researchers in INRIA Grenoble Rhone-Alpes, France. Dr. Neog also co-founded Nytilus Inc., a Toronto-based startup focusing on computational imaging solutions to solve problems in industrial inspections, supported by global accelerators, such as Techstars.

Research Interest:

Machine learning and Deep Learning (Object tracking and localization, stereo reconstruction), Image Processing (Semantic segmentation, biomedical image processing), Computer Vision (Eye tracking, face tracking), Computer Graphics and AR/VR (Facial animation, anatomical augmented reality), Computational Imaging (High dynamic range imaging)
