Celebrating IEEE Day in Victoria
IEEE Day is celebrating the first time in history when engineers worldwide and IEEE members gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884. Worldwide celebrations demonstrate the ways thousands of IEEE members in local communities join together to collaborate on ideas that leverage technology for a better tomorrow.
IEEE Victoria Section will host an online session to celebrate IEEE Day 2021. We have invited Hugo Chouinard, Manager of Leo Systems Engineering at Telesat, to give a talk on Telesat LIghtspeed: Technical Overview.

Passionate about wireless communications, I have gained over 25 years’ experience working on various technologies for either ground or space based communication systems, encompassing product management, systems engineering, integration, verification and support. Today, managing a team of System Engineers developing the next wireless revolution; Telesat Lightspeed™.
