Commissioning & Periodic Maintenance of Microprocessor Based Protection Relay in Industrial Facilities
Biography:
Peter Sutherland is a Senior Power Systems Engineer with ABB. He received a B.S at University of Maine at Orono, a M.Sc.E. at the University of New Brunswick (UNB), Canada and a PhD at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Peter joined GE Industrial Solutions (GE-IS) in 1987 -where he worked in a variety of roles becoming a Senior Power Systems Engineer. After GE-IS became part of ABB in 2018, Peter continued in the same role.
Peter is the author of many papers, winner of an IEEE IAS Prize Paper Award and active in the IEEE for many years. He has held many positions including Chair of the IEEE Industrial and Commercial Power Systems Department and Distinguished Lecturer for the IAS and PES. Peter is a Life Fellow of the IEEE, Fellow of the IET, a PE in NY and other states, and a Chartered Engineer in the UK.
