World Student's Day Celebration
The event was about: “Buzz words on recent trends in Automation”
- In this event he talked about various contents:
*Analog v/s digital Instrumentation. *Wireless instrumentation.
*Wireless instrumentation. * Industry 4.0.
*Intelligent and smart Instrumentation schemes. *Cloud and grid computing.
*Basic control schemes:
Under this scheme, various control systems like open-loop control systems and closed-loop controlled systems were talked about.
* Internet of things: or IoT, is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals, or people that are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.
* Industry 4.0: We’re in the midst of a significant transformation regarding the way we produce products thanks to the digitization of manufacturing. This transition is so compelling that it is being called Industry 4.0 to represent the fourth revolution that has occurred in manufacturing. From the first industrial revolution (mechanization through water and steam power) to the mass production and assembly lines using electricity in the second, the fourth industrial revolution will take what was started in the third with the adoption of computers and automation and enhance it with smart and autonomous systems fueled by data and machine learning.
*Cloud and grid computing:
Cloud computing uses a client-server architecture to deliver computing resources such as servers, storage, databases, and software over the cloud (Internet) with pay-as-you-go pricing. Whereas
Grid computing is also called "distributed computing." It links multiple computing resources (PCs, workstations, servers, and storage elements) together and provides a mechanism to access them.
*Intelligent and smart instrumentation schemes:
Intelligent Instrumentation (formerly Burr-Brown/Intelligent Instrumentation) produces a variety of data acquisition products for PCs. These include both plug-in cards and remote data acquisition products (with a strong emphasis on Ethernet). Intelligent Instrumentation manufactures a series of plug-in ISA boards with dedicated functions as well as those with modular features, all part of their PCI-20000 system (please note that boards in this series, despite its name, are only for the ISA bus and not the PCI bus). This product line stresses the use of modular boards, based on the PCI-20098C and PCI-20047C series.
