Best MRes/MPhil thesis awards

 

IEEE Sensors Council NSW Chapter will provide awards (certificate and cash prize) for the best three MRes/MPhil theses (graduated) in 2021 from NSW universities (UNSW, USyd, UTS, MQ, UOW, Newcastle, WSU, CSU) in the areas of sensors and sensing technology. The criteria for selection of the best thesis award are given below:

 

  • Title and abstract of the research thesis
  • Certificate of completion in 2021
  • Technical soundness and scientific rigour
  • Papers published in journals and conferences during the study, IF of the journals, their citation details
  • Quality of innovation/novelty in the domain of sensors and sensing technology
  • Significance of the research contributions in the domain of sensors and sensing technology
  • Applicability of the research contributions in the Industry.

 



HDR students are required to submit a two-page summary of the thesis focusing on the above criteria and send it to the selection committee c/o Chapter Chair Prof. Subhas Mukhopadhyay (Subhas.Mukhopadhyay@mq.edu.au) by 30th November 2021.

 

There will be a luncheon Award ceremony during the middle of December 2021 to hand over the certificates and cash awards.
