Brief description:

On 19th August 2021, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with the IEEE Information Theory Society SEC Student Branch chapter, conducted an Induction program for welcoming second years and Igniting Trailblazers - an IEEE awareness program. The session commenced at 10 am. The host, Akshaya K of the final year, started the induction program with an introductory speech. The event began with the prayer song followed by virtual lamp lighting. Then Dr. B. Latha HOD, of Computer Science and Engineering, welcomed the alumni of Sri Sairam Engineering College. All the alumni addressed the students regarding the industry expectation on their domain expertise. 

         Mr. Sanjay, an application development associate from Accenture solution Pvt Ltd, gave an idea about placement preparation for the technical round. Also explained about RedHat and AWS certification. Mr.Bhuvanesh, a system software associate programmer (PEGA) Serendebyte-TTEC Digital, spoke on the Pega training and how it is helpful for the placement. Ms.Kaviyalakshmi, programmer analyst EAS salesforce from Cognizant, spoke about the Salesforce certification. She also conveyed her word experience in Cognizant.

Mr.Jayandan, a senior system architect from Kumaran System, spoke about placement preparation for freshers. Ms.Sophia Rachel, a member technical staff of Zoho Corporation, spoke about the importance of coding language. She also spoke about how our management helped with the preparation. Mr.Agnel Valentine Douglas did his MS on Cyber security engineering from the University of Warwick UK spoke about higher studies preparation, his experience in the UK on cyber security. Ms. Malavika, who is a cloud data engineer from prodapt solutions PVT.Ltd, spoke about prodapt placement experience and how staff were helpful for preparation.

         Then the IEEE awareness program was conducted by 11 am, and hosted by Srinidhi and Buvana. The members of IEEE ITS Society presented a presentation on IEEE society, international events conducted by IEEE, and their experience as an IEEE student member of ITS Society. Mrs. Brindha gave insights about the enrollment procedure for IEEE student membership. Finally, the event concluded with a vote of thanks by Venkatesh, chair of IEEE ITS Society Student Branch chapter.
