Biography:

U.S. Congressman Jay Obernolte represents the 8th District of California, one of the larger Congressional districts in the United States.  He sits on the House Science, Technology, & Space Committee and has emerged as a leading thinker in Congress on technology policy, in particular Artificial Intelligence.

Congressman Obernolte has a bachelor’s in Engineering and Applied Science from Cal. Tech., a Masters in Artificial Intelligence from UCLA, and a PhD in Public Administration from California Baptist University – making him one of the very few policy makers in Washington who understands Artificial Intelligence from a technical perspective.
