IEEE Sensors Council Hyderabad Chapter- Winter School "Sensors for Medical Applications and Healthcare"
Two day Winter School Program "Sensors for Medical Applications and Healthcare" by IEEE Sensors Council Hyderabad Chapter on 20 and 21 Dec 2021.
IEEE Sensors Council Hyderabad Chapter is organizing two day Winter School Program “Sensors for Medical Applications and Healthcare” on 20th and 21st December 2021.
The field of Healthcare is changing rapidly due to emerging technological developments. Nowadays, because of huge population in the world with aged peoples, auto-monitoring of patient health conditions are becoming more and more popular. For monitoring the health of the patient, Sensors playing a vital role and increasing importance of sensors in almost all medical devices. Sensors can increase the intelligence of medical equipment, such as life-supporting implants, and can enable bedside and remote monitoring of vital signs and other health factors.
Sensors are devices that detect physical, chemical, and biological signals and provide a way for those signals to be measured and recorded. In healthcare and fitness “Internet of Things” devices, sensors can monitor temperatures, pressures, chemical, and biological levels of users and/or patients. Continuous health monitoring using wireless body area networks of implantable and wearable medical devices is envisioned as a transformative approach to healthcare. Rapid advances in biomedical sensors, low-power electronics, and wireless communications have brought this vision to the verge of reality. However, key challenges still remain to be addressed.
This winter school with a theme: Sensors for Medical Applications and Healthcare being aware of the pivotal role that smart sensors can play for the improvement of healthcare for the students and professionals from Institutions and industry. This winter school focuses on presenting the recent advancements in both wearable and implantable technologies, challenges and future research areas concerning the utilization of wireless sensors in healthcare applications.
