CIS Society Inauguration
IEEE SB has successfully conducted an offline inauguration of the Computational Intelligence Society on 13/10/2021(Wednesday). Nearly 250 participants have participated in the inauguration. The speaker is Dr. Kumarappan, Chairman and Senior Member of IEEE Madras section, who is a professor of the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, at Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu. He is the Education Activity Chair for the IEEE Madras Section and the Coordinator for more than 15 IEEE Madras Section-sponsored FDP, Workshop, and TISP programs. In 2010, he received the IEEE Madras Section Motivation Award, and in 2012, he received the Certificate of Appreciation. He contributes to IEEE/IET-UK international conferences and other international journals as a reviewer and session chair. The IEEE-NNS Outstanding Paper Travel Grant Award and the IEEE PES Student Program Award were also given to him. The welcome address was given by Dr. K.Palanikumar, Principal of Sai Ram Institute of Technology. Following the welcome address was the felicitation of the office bearers by the chief guest. The introduction to Chief Guest was given by Ms. Prabavathi. The event was reported by Dr. V. Brindha Devi. Finally, the vote of thanks was given by M/s.Soundarya lakshmi.
