==========
Doug Schuler will be speaking on Smart Cities Smart Citizenry. The world is facing a number of daunting challenges that won't go away on their own. We've passed the time when it made sense to only tend our own garden. Now each person, each group, each organization, and each organ of government needs to think about how their actions, actual and potential, could encourage or deter a better future. But some, like people and the organizations focused on Smart Cities, are better positioned than others. But what does that mean? It might mean having different conversations, working with different partners, or thinking about it with new perspectives. It also means transcending techno-centric visions. Getting there includes reflection as well as practical steps.

Please welcome Doug...

Making Cities Smarter Through Energy Equity and Community Resiliency

The North American Smart Cities market continues to mature beyond the vendor-led technology focus of the past decade. Cities today are focused on enabling data-driven decisions by bridging their departmental silos - including utilities. Social equity and community resiliency have become key priorities for most city leaders. Utilities are uniquely positioned to help cities address these priorities, as well as fleet electrification, which is beginning to scale beyond pilots and presents a unique opportunity. This session provides a blueprint of how utilities enable Smart Cities and presents strategies to enable both cities and utilities to achieve their strategic objectives.

Please Welcome George Karayannis...
