ANVESHANA 2022
The program began with welcome of all the dignitaries and participants with invocation song by Ms.Shubhashree and Ms.Soujanya at 10.00 AM. The program was hosted by Ms. Pavana K P, 5th semester student. Ms. Priya G E, 5th semester student CS&E Dept. delivered the welcome speech. The program was inaugurated by watering the plants. Introduction about the chief guest Mr. Shiva Kumar H S, Lean Leader, India Technology, Global Research, GE India, was done by Supriya, 5th semester student, Dept of, CS&E, JNNCE at 10.22 AM in the presence of students, faculty members, and technical staff of CS&E Dept, JNNCE.
- Poornima K M, Professor and HoD, Department of Computer Science and Engineering briefed about the introduction of ANVESHANA 2k22 and gave the information about various events like UI/UX design, Clash of Codes, and Cryptic Monks carried out in ANVESHANA 2k22.
Later keynote address was delivered by Chief Guest Mr. Shiva Kumar H S about Connecting Scientific Thinking to Systems Thinking in Industry 4.0 world, followed by vote of thanks from Ms. Vismaya T, 5th semester student CS&E Dept.
After the formal inauguration events were carried as per schedule.
The program was ended by valedictory function at 4.30 PM at Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Seminar Hall and was followed with high tea.

Shiva’s 22+ years career profile encompasses technical, operational, and business development roles with increased responsibilities for several GE businesses.
Strong and demonstrative track record with technical foundation in Aerospace and Structural Engineering strengthened by expertise across Technology (New Technology Introduction, New Product Introduction), Customer Relations (Inquiry to Order, Order to Remittance), Manufacturing & Supply Chain, Fleet Management (Services), Data Science and Business Operation value streams.
Currently leading largest lean transformation at GE Technology Centers in India (Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai) Build and execute lean implementation strategy for our technology centers in India with close collaboration with customers, business and function leaders. Additionally, responsible to drive Additive Technology penetration in India market through customer funded R&D programs, Additive business led advocacy campaigns for external funding opportunities, key customers connect in the region by positioning GE store and guide reseller resources to keep the momentum.
Shiva has spent considerable years in developing structural designs and analytical solutions for GE Aircraft Jet Engines like GE90, GEnx, CFM, commercial jet engines operating narrow and wide-body aircrafts. He has led Engineering Operations for GE Aviation based out of John F Welch Technology Center in Bangalore. In his long career at GE, Shiva has worked on GE’s Gas Turbines, Power Plant Engineering, Wind Turbine blades and solutions for critical healthcare products.
Prior to GE, Shiva has also worked in National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) lab, Bangalore.
Shiva received master’s degree Geo-Structures from National Institute of Technology Surathkal, Karnataka. And proud alumni of JNNCE Civil Engineering 1993-97 batch.
