GT CED: DERs (Distributed Energy Resources) in Critical Power Applications
ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
Distributed Energy Resources, or DERs, are small-scale electricity supply or demand resources that are interconnected to the electric grid system. They are power generation resources and are usually located close to load centers, critical power applications and can be used individually or in aggregate to provide value to a power system. Smart grid-ready UPS and energy storage systems contribute to more efficient and sustainable energy use and to system flexibility, enabling the integration of variable renewable energy resources.
