Early accomplishments included successfully championing IRAs and related portable pensions programs, obtaining employee whistle-blower protection, supporting steady growth of fundamental research funding, contributing to economic competitiveness, and promoting career development, licensure, etc. Today, IEEE-USA continues its two core missions, public policy to benefit members and the public, and career development and member services.
