  • This webinar is intended for engineers who work on designing the electrical components of battery-operated devices. Optimizing power consumption is key for the lifetime of the battery and so for the operated device. We will be introducing the challenges and factors to consider in reducing power consumption by reference to a typical power consumption profile of an IoT device. To be able to optimize factors such as conditions for sleep mode, firmware updates, or antenna matching, you will learn the requirements for measuring power consumption and using a battery model. A quick overview of power supplies will guide you in selecting a suitable measurement solution.
We will be concluding the webinar by discussing battery modeling and simulation, dealing at the same time with real battery conditions such as electrical properties, discharge profiles, and changes caused by aging. Practical examples will illustrate battery simulation and power consumption measurement made easy and reliable.
