Megan Harju of Burns & McDonnell

Topic:

Impact of EVs on Distribution

How will increased EV adoption impact the distribution grid? Where will the impact be the greatest? What can utilities do to prepare? At our upcoming monthly meeting Megan Harju, of the Transportation Electrification Group at Burns & McDonnell, will be answering the questions and more by speaking on the topic of “The Impact of EVs on Distribution.” More information to come!

Biography:

Megan works in the Transportation Electrification group at Burns & McDonnell designing charging infrastructure for Electric Vehicles. In her role, she develops new client relationships with utilities and commercial fleet clients looking to transition to zero-emission vehicles. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2019 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Although her one rule when she graduated was that she wouldn’t move to Texas (Boomer Sooner!), she is thrilled to be visiting the IEEE chapter in Fort Worth to share about the importance of charging infrastructure as more and more EVs begin to hit the market.
