Dynamic 3D Safeguarding for Human-Robot Collaboration

Veo's flagship product is FreeMove® which is a comprehensive 3D safeguarding solution that reduces the cost and complexity of human-robot collaboration. Veo FreeMove® is an advanced safety system for industrial workcells. The system monitors workcells in 3D and implements dynamic Speed and Separation Monitoring as defined by ISO 10218-2:2011 and ISO/TS 15066:2016, enabling safe interaction between humans and robots.

Biography:

Marek is from Portland, Maine. He attended the University of Connecticut where he earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biomedical Engineering before coming to WPI for his PhD in Robotics Engineering. He joined the AIM lab and worked under Prof. Fischer on surgical interventions and image-guided therapy using MRI-compatible robots. Marek finished his PhD in 2018 and has since been working at Veo Robotics, enabling collaborative manufacturing with large industrial robots.
