IEEE RGIPT SB Orientation 2021-22
The chief guest of the event Mr. Sudhir Gupta, Ex-COO Airtel, spoke about the essential skills
required in the industry and what one must do to be industry-ready. He also spoke
about IEEE and how it helps young engineers in finding their areas of interest.
The IEEE RGIPT Student Branch conducted an Orientation
program for the freshmen of the year 2021-2022, the event was focused on the benefits
of IEEE membership and the future of the IEEE RGIPT Student Branch. The event was
open to all branch students.

After the keynote speaker, the audience was motivated by the words of Dr. Susham
Biswas, Head of the Computer Science Department spoke about the benefits of
different student chapters. Next up the audience got the chance to hear the inspiring
words of Dr. Umakant Dhar Dwivedi, Head of the Electronics Department spoke about
the necessity of IEEE for every engineer, which was followed by an encouraging speech
from Dr. Sajal Agarwal, Faculty Advisor IEEE RGIPT Student Branch.
A video made by the designing team of IEEE RGIPT SB was played following which a
the presentation was presented by Tanmay Joshi, Joint Secretary IEEE RGIPT SB which
provided useful information to the audience about the structure of IEEE and the perks of
IEEE membership for a student.
With this, the orientation moved forward to the fun event named “Multiverse of Iconix” which was a thirty minutes rapid-fire trivia quiz based
on superheroes. In the end, the audience was uplifted by the words of Ramendra
Pandey Chair, IEEE RGIPT SB, and Shashank Srijan, Vice-chair IEEE RGIPT SB. The
orientation came to end with Hi-Tea which was provided to all the attendees of the
event.
