................... NGINX: The Swiss Army Knife of the Web
IEEE SPOKANE 2022 WEB PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION EVENT >> NGINX
IEEE Spokane is pleased to present this very current virtual event, where an NGINX web performance specialist will offer an exciting talk on a topic on the current frontiers of computing.
THE TOPIC:
NGINX leads the pack in web performance, and it’s all due to the way the software is designed. Whereas many web servers and application servers use a simple threaded or process‑based architecture, NGINX stands out with a sophisticated event‑driven architecture that enables it to scale to hundreds of thousands of concurrent connections on modern hardware. Come learn what power NGINX holds and how its design continues to make it a powerful tool for modern applications.
THE SPEAKER:
Kevin Jones is an artist and geek-turned-engineer, passionate about technology, teaching others, and helping businesses increase their architectural acumen. At NGINX he is a Sr Product Manager, responsible for creating solutions which help customers achieve digital transformation. He is heavily involved in the NGINX community as a Technical Evangelist as well as an active Developer Advocate for the Web3 community. In his free time, he enjoys Photography and Filmmaking.
