According to a recent government report, women only make up about 13% of STEM-qualified employment in Australia. While everyone agrees that having a STEM-skilled workforce is beneficial to the economy, women's participation in STEM is extremely low. What exactly is the rationale for this? Is it true that women encounter too many challenges in STEM fields? This will be discussed by the panel. Can women, on the other hand, bring new norms to STEM? Will they be able to transform setbacks into opportunities? As a result, the focus of this event will be on the challenges and opportunities that women experience in STEM fields.

  2. Athmi Jayawardena, Senior Power Systems Engineer, Hatch (South Australia)
