An industrial visit to Ice Plant, Bhagwanpur, Haridwar for B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering students (3rd and 4th year) of RIT, Roorkee held on 23 April 2022

An industrial visit to Ice Plant, Bhagwanpur, Haridwar for B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering students (3rd and 4th year) of RIT, Roorkee held on 23 April 2022. The students observed and understood various major components of the Refrigeration cycle like compressor, expansion, evaporator, and condenser. All processes and the working procedure were nicely explained by the company staff which was knowledge-provoking. Students really benefitted and understood the working procedure of the Water NH3 refrigeration system and Ice plant. This visit also covered the practicals of Refrigeration and air conditioning lab - Visit an Ice plant and calculate the coefficient of performance (C.O.P.) of the plant and study various performance parameters.
