Fawzi Behmann had the opportunity to be part of a panel session at the Student Leadership Conference and now has the honor to present some slides sent by Larry since he can't be with us.
 
Also, as the general chair of WCNC 2022, I'll  provide coverage about WCNC 2022 conference, key messages, best of practices and lessons learned. This would include addressing some of the questions and challenges relate to the advancement of wireless technology, roadmap for 5G and 6G and deployment.

Briefly,  I’m pleased to report that the 23rd WCNC 2022 International Conference on Wireless, Communications and Networking Conference was held successfully April 10-13 at Austin Hilton downtown. The conference was offered as hybrid with attendance from over 46 countries. Close to half of the attendees joined virtually.

The theme of the conference was Boosting Verticals into Wireless Orbit. The conference provided rich and compelling content that included Dialogue with Industry Leaders, 9 keynote speakers, 2 executive Forum sessions, 12 Industry Panels and special session, Startup Forums, 7 industry presentations and over 361 technical papers, 12 Tutorials and 11 workshops.

Held variety of leadership positions with Teleglobe International carrier, Nortel Network systems, Motorola/Freescale semiconductor. Founded TelNet Management Consulting Inc. 2009 and Co-authored “Collaborative IoT” by Wiley.

Fawzi volunteered at IEEE and currently he is IEEE WCNC 2022 chair, ComSoc North America Regional Director and BoG member. Fawzi received multiple awards including IEEE Leadership Section chair for Central Texas Section (2017-2018), IEEE USA professional leadership award for 2017, ComSoc Chapter Achievement Award for 2021 and IEEE ComSoc Chapter of the Year Awards for 2020, 2017, 2015 and Chapter Achievement Awards for  2021, 2020, 2017 and 2015,  IEEE MGA Regional Outstanding Member for 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Fawzi has MBA, Masters in Computer Science, Bachelor in Science with honors in Mathematics with distinction.
