"Essentials of Data Analytics Using R" under Industry 4.0 Training Bootcamp in association with RIT IEEE STUDENT Branch(STB11763) and RIT R&D Cell 

About the training: The training was having aim to provide Hands-on training in R programming language for Data Analytics. By the end of the training, the participants were comfortable with the usage of the R environment, including importing external data, manipulating data for specific needs, and running statistics, visualizations, and important machine learning algorithms for descriptive or predictive analysis.

What did the training cover?

  • Download and install R and RStudio
  • navigate and optimize the R integrated development environment (IDE) RStudio
  • install and load add-in packages, import external data into R for data processing and statistical analysis
  • learn the main R data structures – vector and data frame
  • compute basic summary statistics
  • produce data visualizations with the ggplot package
  • use of essential machine learning algorithms for descriptive or predictive data analysis

 

Key Points:

  • The delivery of the content was very good and the trainers were excellently co-operative with the students during all the sessions.
  • Quizzes, Assignments, and tasks were effective in making the concepts clearer and more understandable.

 

What is expected next:

  • We wish to participate more in such events where we can learn more and acquire more knowledge about the various fields of computer science.

Certification & Recognition:

  • Participant’s gone through a proctored MCQ exam from IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorial and performed well as earned certificates

Summary:

  • Overall, the training was a successful event where students learned various aspects of Data Analytics, AI & ML using R.
