Introduction of company NUVIA, a.s., Scintillation detectors technology and their usage in radiation protection
NUVIA, a.s. is a traditional supplier of devices and services in the field of nuclear power engineering, radiation protection, production of ionizing radiation detectors and radiometric systems, characterization of radioactive waste and nuclear facilities before decommissioning, chemical and radiochemical measurements, laboratory technologies, industrial automation and software development.
We will introduce the technology of scintilation detectors - the organic polystyrene plastics in a wide variety of shapes and dimensions and an inorganic NaI(Tl) crystals and probes featuring consistent, superior energy resolution and efficiency. Plastic scintillators have an extremely wide field of application. Used in thin layers, they detect protons, electrons and beta particles with a small gamma-background. In larger volume, they are suitable for measuring gamma radiation.
