Expert Lecture on Recent Advancement & Challenges in Electric Vehicle Technology (Inauguration Ceremony- Center of Excellence cum E-Ashwa Electric Vehicle R&D Lab)
The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering organised a Guest Lecture on "Recent Advancement and Challenges in Electric Vehicle Technology" for all the students of RIT Roorkee. The eminent speaker is Mr. Vikas Gupta Founder, CEO & CFO of e-Ashwa Automotive Pvt. Ltd. He has been instrumental in launching and steering the company in the relatively unexplored, but high potential growth sector of electro-mobility, which is emerging as one of the significant contributors to sustainable development.
A qualified CA, CS, and CMA with more than two-and a-half decades of experience in accounts, finance, compliance, and business management, Vikas Gupta supervises operations and finance in the organization. He collaborates with other business heads to strategize functions and boost growth. Before setting up e-Ashwa Automotive Private Limited, Mr. Gupta was instrumental in establishing many other start-up organizations and departments and running them seamlessly. He has also played a vital role in implementing crucial processes, practices, and policies at various places.

During the lecture he focused on electric vehicle that uses one or more electric motors for propulsion. It can be powered by a collector system, with electricity from extravehicular sources, or it can be powered autonomously by a battery (sometimes charged by solar panels, or by converting fuel to electricity using fuel cells or a generator). EVs include, but are not limited to, road and rail vehicles, surface and underwater vessels, electric aircraft, and electric spacecraft.
In the 21st century, EVs have seen a resurgence due to technological developments, and an increased focus on renewable energy and the potential reduction of transportation's impact on climate change, air pollution, and other environmental issues. Project Drawdown describes electric vehicles as one of the 100 best contemporary solutions for addressing climate change.

Ltd., along with Mr. Rahul Agarwal, C.T.O 3SR Consultancy, Mr. Amit Kumar, C.T.O e-Ashwa Automotive Pvt. Ltd., & Mr. Mukesh Verma, Executive 3SR Consultancy, for the Inauguration Ceremony of Center of Excellence Electric Vehicle Lab in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Parag Jain, Director RIT Roorkee, Faculty members & students of RIT.
The EV lab is stablished under the collaboration with e-Ashwa Automotive Pvt. Ltd. The CEO of e-Ashwa Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Viskas Gupta provided the facilities for the RIT students related to different components used in the electric vehicle in the different projects. This will enhance the employability skills of the students working in this domain.
