INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO HAMMOND POWER SOLUTIONS
The industrial visit started off with an introduction of tranformer company and employees by Ranjith Pohankar (H.O.D of sales and service), Ch.Prabhat(Manager srevice), Gangadhar(Shed incharge),P.Anji Reddy(Manager planning), B.Arjun(Engineer production),then Gangadhar has described construction and working of transformer.
Later students were divided into 3 batches and sent inside one after another batch.Students has learnt about core construction ,insulation used in transformer,windings arrangement on transformer core by gangadhar, he explains all doubts clearly.Later K.Madhu krishnan(testing incharge) has explained functioning and testing of transformers also they shown testing equipment,oiling of transformer ,dry type transformers ,control room and list of tests done on transformer.questions which were asked by students are clarified by K.Madhu krishnan.The industrial visit was pinnacled by students return to college.
