Technology Based Entrepreneurship Development Program
In sequence of 6-week online Technology based Entrepreneurship Development Program 2021, Prof. Alok John Director of mother Veronica Excellence & Innovation Centre was the speaker for 9th day. The session was devoted on “Developing Entrepreneurial Competencies” and Topic was “Achievement Motivation”. The speaker started his speech on the need of achievement for an entrepreneur. By Defining it as a Psychological drive to excel, a social form of motivation to perform at a high level competence. The term Achievement motivation was first introduced by Henry Murray and active research on topic was done by David Mc Clelland. In continuation speaker define two category high and low motivated person and explain their differences. Further speaker discussed the Mc Clelland’s Human’s Motivation theory and explain how they did advance research on Maslow theory that categorized three different motivators Achievement, power and Affiliation which is present in every human being but one of them dominate which determine person characteristic. Speaker discussed the role on assuming personal responsibility for the results. Speakers also cover the topic Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and importance of Motivation. Speaker also discussed the personality factor involved in achievement motivation. In the end of the session speaker taken General Enterprising tendency test (GET) of the participant.
Session is ended with vote of thanks to distinguished speaker, as well as institution’s Director, participants and organizing commitee.

Achievement Motivation
