Dr. Shefali Agrawal of Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun.

Dr. Shefali Agrawal discussed all important aspects of fundamental and applied aspects of remote sensing, GIS and allied spatial technology with emphasis on satellite photogrammetric, Lidar remote sensing, Hyperspectral Remote sensing, UAV remote sensing, Under water Image processing  and advanced image processing related to land use /land cover characterization and vegetation physics dynamics. During her session she mainly focuses on the process of Geographic information system and image capturing process.

Biography:

Shefali Agrawal is a physicist at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing with academic qualifications obtained both in India and abroad (ITC, Netherlands).

She pursues her academic interest in addressing both fundamental and applied aspects of remote sensing, GIS and allied spatial technology with emphasis on satellite photogrammetry, Lidar remote sensing, Hyperspectral Remote sensing, UAV remote sensing, Under water Image processing  and advanced image processing related to land use /land cover characterization and vegetation physics dynamics

She has many accomplishments in her professional career and has contributed in various National and International projects, such as : mapping and monitoring of land use land cover/ Vegetation type across the south central Asia for the first time from SPOT Vegetation satellite data using spectral modeling under the European Commission program.

She is currently, Group Head, Geospatial Technology and Outreach Programme Group  which consists of all there technology departments at IIRS; and  currently is engaged in 3-D surface characterization and simulation  through integration of  Satellite stereo imageries, Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS) and UAV based data at IIRS for natural resources and archeological applications

She has over 28 years of experience and produced around 100 papers in national and international journals. She is also recipient of ISRO-ASI women scientist award for her contribution to geospatial technology.

This session focuses on different topics such as cost quantity ratio, customers requirements, effective purchasing, different methods of buying, tender buying, group purchasing, hand to mouth buying, schedules buying, stages of procurement process etc. Session is totally based on strategies related to how to create goodwill in market and enhance the companies’ repudiation to earn a fair return. This session ended with 3P’s theory: process, people and paper works. It was very interactive and informative session, he continuously interacted with the audience by replying to their queries. The audience found this session very fruitful.

• Dr. A. Patrick has 22 year of vast working experience. He is a corporate trainer and resource person at National Academy of Telecom and Financial Management, Gachibowli, Andhra Bank Staff College, Hyderabad, Osmania University Staff College, Center for Excellence (COE) of Institute of Chartered Accountants, Gachibowli, SICA, Prisons’ Department. Currently he is serving as Joint Director, Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University and Vice Principal (Hostels) at University College of Commerce & Business Management.
