The talk will present an overview of energy management in
machine type devices (MTDs), self-sustaining nodes through energy
harvesting, energy efficient signalling techniques, backscatter
communications, intelligent reflecting surfaces, non-orthogonal multiple
access (NOMA) and grant-free access for massive machine type
communications.
