Confidential Computing: Intel®’s Approach and Technology Offerings

Abstract:

The objective of this presentation is to provide an overview of what’s Confidential Computing and it’s significance to cloud security. Then to discuss about the role of Intel in offering security technology portfolio catering to this market. Then we shall look at few important Intel’s Confidential Computing Technologies, understand their security objectives and high level threat model. One of the implicit objectives of this presentation is to bring the “security awareness” and “security first mindset” with the audience and share Intel’s contributions in the process, followed by Q & A.

Biography:

Nagaraju N Kodalapura (Raju) is the Lead Offensive Security Researcher working in Intel Corporation for about 20+ years and has been working in the security research space for more than 10 years. He received his M.S. degree in Digital Design and Embedded Systems from Manipal University, India. He holds 5 Granted Patents and is a IEEE Senior Member with 5+ security research publications in IEEE, Black Hat and other renowned venues. He leads a team of offensive security researchers focusing on Confidential Computing and Virtualization technologies targeting cloud/datacentric platforms within IPAS (Intel Product Assurance and Security) organization.He is passionate about spirituality, technology and hardware security.
