IEEE Section Night - NOW AS A WEBINAR!

Webinar link and password will be forwarded to all registered participants after Noon on the day of the meeting. Check your spam folder if you don't see the email.

Webinar is open to all.

Electrical Root Cause Failure Analysis

There are several established techniques to complete a root-cause failure analysis. This presentation will provide an approach and will review specific actual examples of past root-cause failure analysis of various events related to electrical power distribution systems.

Actual examples will include the following:

  • Failures related to Harmonics
  • Failures related to Adverse Weather Conditions
  • Failures related to Crossing-Magnetic Fields
  • Failures related to Skin-Effect

The challenges of obtaining accurate and complete failure related information will also be reviewed.
