Hannes Kirchhoff, Bangladesh

Biography:

Chief Technical Officer at ME SOLshare
Hannes grew up in Germany and the U.S. and has lived in South Africa and Tanzania. He is an energy and process engineer by background and holds a master’s degree in renewable energy systems engineering. He has worked on a number of projects in Asia and Africa undertaking technology, supplier and value chain assessments, technology development as well as contributed to the technical standards development. Before joining SOLshare and MicroEnergy International Hannes worked for CAMCO (Tanzania), Schott Solar CSP (Germany) and the Institute for Ecological Economy Research (Germany). Hannes is affiliated with the Department for Sustainable Electric Networks and Sources of Energy at the Technische Universität Berlin where he pursues his PhD on direct current microgrid technology for Swarm Electrification.
