MAGNA is one of the largest automotive suppliers in the world since 1957. A big Tech Talk event is hosted by the IEEE Student Branch jointly with CAS. 5 engineers are invited to tell their recruitment journey in Magna and share their valuable experience with us. There are some Human Resource directors who could address all of the attendees' questions regarding job matters. A recruitment Link will be provided for attendees on the day of the event to upload their resumes to join MAGNA talent community.

Biography:

Victoria Shkreli Pacilli is Senior Engineer / Business Technical Analyst in the Innovation Outreach Team at Magna International. Vicky graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering and has over 20 years of engineering work experience. Prior to joining Magna International, Vicky worked at Stellantis ARDC in Windsor as a Senior Research Engineer. Prior to joining FCA / Stellantis, Vicky worked at Lear Corporation as a Seat Complete Product Engineer and also as a Noise & Vibration Engineer, specializing in psychoacoustics. There she ran jury evaluations and correlated measured acoustic data to the human perception of sound. She is a patent holder and has presented her published work at various technical conferences.

 

 

Jennie Ecclestone, Director, Recruitment Marketing and Employer Brand at Magna International.

Jennie joined Magna International in February of 2022 after spending nearly 14 years working in communications and recruitment marketing at General Motors. As the Director for Recruitment Marketing and Employer Branding at Magna, she focuses on helping to attract the world’s best talent to help support Magna’s vision of continuing to advance mobility for everyone and everything. She received her B.A. in Communications and an M.S. in Management, Strategy and Leadership from Michigan State University and lives in Rochester Hills, MI with her partner, two stepchildren and two dogs.

Biography:

Jim Quesenberry returned to Magna in December 2018 as Director of Research and Development. In this role he is responsible for the direction and implementation of Magna’s research and development policies, objectives and initiatives at all universities and research labs, making recommendations based on research and product performance to maintain Magna’s competitive position and profitability. 

 

Philip Korta received the BASc and MASc degrees from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Windsor, Windsor, ON, Canada, in 2016 and 2018, respectively. He is currently a Senior Power Electronics Engineer at Magna International, Troy, MI, USA. Philip’s key research interests and work responsibilities involve system simulation, control development, design and testing of power electronics and motors for electric vehicle powertrain applications.
