Recreating the Past for Better Future :'Partition Horror Remembrance Day'
Partition Horrors Remembrance Day is a National Memorial Day in India on 14 August that commemorates the victims and sufferings of people during the Partition of India. To mark their momentous occasion, many activities are being organized in Amity Campus by its IEEE Student Branch in collaboration with IEEE WIE AG UP Section India. Approx one million people were murdered 15 million people got displaced from their homes. Women and children suffered enormously. Approx 33,00 women were abducted and raped.
A presentation on the Recreating the Past for Better Future was scheduled at 11:30 AM-12.30 PM on 10 Aug 2022 at D Block Auditorium, Amity Campus.There after the chief guest of the event: Shri Satya Prakash Jrawta Honb’le MLA Pataudi and Retired soldier Shri Rati Ram of Gwalior village were honoured. Subsequently, an on-foot rally was held by faculty and staff members commencing at the Main Entrance of 'D' Block Foyer, Main Gate-Faculty Flats - Faculty Parking and concluding at the Campus Plaza. National Flags were carried during the rally.
From 11th -15th Aug 2022, a poster exhibition is also being displayed at the D Block Foyer for all to see at their convenience.
