Chess Competition
IEEE PES CUI conducted a Chess Competition 20th May,2022. The platform was ECE Department
2nd Floor ECE Lab-3 Room 211. Total 26 students from COMSATS Islamabad participated. The
session lasted for 6 hours. It commenced with the name of Allah and proceeded with the chess
matches between the participants and all the matches were knockouts.
Main Mission of the Competition: Main mission and the vision of the chess competition
was to give the students a chance to play competitive chess which is better for our brain
development, reflexes, sharp thinking, etc.
Main points of the Competition: The competition began with the knockout matches. The
matches were pretty intense. Two matches were being played simultaneously. Audience was also there
and they were almost more then 20. Chairperson of IEEE PES CUI Mehtab Azam Khan was there to be
the judge and for the smooth play of the competition.
All the participants’ determination was truly inspiring. Everyone played in such an engineering manner
that the opponent was put under a lot of pressure. We all had a great time sensing your facial
expressions and tried to capture some of them on camera.
At the end the prize money was given to the winner. The session came to end at 4:00 pm
