Humanitarian Activities and Projects
IEEE's mission is to Advance Technologies for Humanity. Our collaboration with Toms River Schools for the Biotech, Health and Medical Device Literacy and STEM programs have been part of the Humanitarian Activities through our Special Interest Group for Humanitarian Technologies (HAC/SIGHT) programs and our IEEE NJ Coast Section SIGHT Group. We present information to the Rotary Club of Toms River at their weekly lunch meeting.
Christine Girtain, teacher from Toms River is our Host and introduces Kit August, Margaret Lyons, and Afia Lateef to discuss the Humanitarian activities and projects locally and globally. There will be a demonstration of the use of a simple blood pressure device.
