Brief Description:
On 5th August 2022, Department of Computer Science and Engineering and IEEE Information Theory Society(ITS), SEC Student Branch Chapter, in association with CSE Career Guidance Cell, Sri Sairam Engineering College. Dr B Latha, Dean- Skill Development & Head of Department, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, had presided over the event which was organized by Ms. D. Kavitha, Advisor-IEEE-ITS. The event featured three alumni speakers Mr. D. Venkatesh, Ms. S. Srinidhi, Mr. Prajith Raj Suresh and two student speakers Ms. L. Harshita, Mr. K L. Nithish Raja . It was attended by 3rd year students of the CSE department.
It began with Dr B Latha delivering the welcome address. Mr. M. Avinash, one of the student coordinators gave a short introduction about the program. The student speaker gave insight into master’s preparation for India and Abroad. Mr. K L. Nithish Raja gave information about degree entry requirements (GRE, GMAT, IELTS etc). Ms. L. Harshita spoke about choosing the right university, accommodation, cost of living etc.
The alumni speakers took over the session. Ms. S. Srinidhi spoke about her experience in taking GATE and non GATE exams in India and gave tips on preparation techniques. Mr. D. Venkatesh focused on higher education abroad and gave pointers on visa application process, admission timeline etc.Towards the end of the session the speakers interacted with the audience in a Q&A session and the audience gave feedback for the program.
