ABOUT THE SPEAKER :

Saad Mohammad is a Final year Undergraduate in Electronics Engineering Department at ZHCET, Aligarh Muslim University. He is a Web Development Trainee at Aligarh Alumni Digi Ed Program, Arizona, US. He is also a Co-Coordinator at the SIGHT Section at IEEE STB AMU.

A 2-hour hands-on workshop was organized by the Web Dev Society, SIGHT Section, IEEE STB AMU. The speaker provided hands-on instructions on creating a Responsive Website using the Bootstrap framework of CSS and quickly adding the different parts such as the Navigation bar, Carousel, Menu cards, footer, etc. The speaker talked about Classes in Bootstrap that provides Responsiveness to the website to the change in the screen size. He also talked about the Grid System in Bootstrap along with JavaScript API Integration along with how to optimize the HTML for better search engine visibility (SEO). Finally, the participants were instructed to host the website using GitHub Pages. The workshop was an effort to help students engage in Front End Development using modern frameworks such as Bootstrap and further move on to making use of more powerful frameworks such as React.
