2023 IEEE Rising Stars Conference team presents

THE RED DWARF STARS SERIES

IEEE P2851 Standard for Functional Safety Data Format for Interoperaibility Within the Dependability Life

Jyotika Athavale

Red Dwarf stars are the smallest and emerging in the universe.  The Red Dwarf events represent the formation and growth of our IEEE Rising Stars Conference. The 2023 IEEE Rising Stars Conference team will be hosting a series of monthly events to show you a glimpse of what we are preparing for the conference. We'll be sharing some professional development and technical content throughout this series, as well as some of the networking experience.

Join us on a series of informative and engaging events as we prepare for our large stage at the 2023 IEEE Rising Stars Conference, January 3-5, in Las Vegas at the Tropicana Hotel.

Presentation Description:

The IEEE P2851 family of standards initiative was started to define a dependability lifecycle as well as methods and formats for exchange/interoperability of data across all steps of the lifecycle in a consistent way. Additionally, the work products of this standardization initiative will help enable interoperability between tools. The goal of this work is to provide structures and directions to allow a seamless exchange of information and interoperability between activities at the same or different level of abstraction, as well as activities across lifecycles related to different dependability attributes across application domains such as automotive, industrial, medical and avionics safety critical systems. The WG published a whitepaper last year and the first revision of the P2851 base standard is currently in active development. This talk will describe the WG activities, status and projected roadmap.
