PES Webinar: Integrated Design & Construction Overview
AEP Transmission is adopting Integrated Design & Construction (IDC), also known in the commercial building industry as Building Information Modeling (BIM). IDC is a project-execution methodology that leverages several principles: collaboration through the project lifecycle with early stakeholder engagement, prompt and accurate information availability, and model-based design and construction. The ultimate purpose of IDC is to achieve safer, smarter, faster, and more cost efficient project results. In this presentation we will be providing an overview of what IDC is, safety as a priority, and the uses of IDC in Project Management, Engineering and Construction.
