Biography:

Ankit Yadav has completed his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT K), India. He has received his B. Tech. in electrical engineering from KNDG Modi engineering college (Uttar Pradesh Technical University) and M. Tech in power engineering from Delhi Technological University (DTU) in 2011 and 2014 respectively. His schooling is from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Faizabad. He has worked as Lecturer at JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur and Sr. Project Associate at IIT Kanpur. His area of interest included HVDC, Power converter, Application of power electronics in power system. He has published three (3) journals and five (5) conference papers (2 best paper award).

 

Ankit is actively involved in IEEE activities. Currently he holds the position of StB/StBC/StBAG Operation and Coordination sub-committee of IEEE UP Section. Section Student Representative (SSR) of IEEE UP Section and Chairperson, IEEE PES Student branch chapter, IIT Kanpur. He is also IEEE PES Day Ambassador (Section), 2020.

 

In past years, he has contributed to IEEE as Section Student Representative (SSR), Chairperson, IEEE PES Student branch chapter, IIT Kanpur, IEEE PES Day Ambassador (Section), 2020 and many other roles. He has delivered few invited lectures and organized many IEEE activities including PERA18, UP PES IAS Congress 2019, IEEE UP SSAC workshop (January 2021), IEEE UP Section Technical Hands-on Workshop (June 2021) and DLPs.

He has received IEEE India council Outstanding Student Volunteer Award 2019, IEEE UP Section Outstanding Student Volunteer Award 2020. IEEE UP Section had nominated him to represent the section in R10 SYWL Congress 2018 at Bali, Indonesia.
