Topic:

Rethink 5G testing – how to implement the ultimate 5G device experience for suitable use cases and markets

  • 5G changes how we communicate and fuels digital transformation across different industries and vertical markets. True 5G devices strike a balance between having the right feature set and market readiness, ultimately creating value for the end customer. Designing and implementing these features challenges chipset and mobile device manufacturers who need to quickly develop, build, obtain conformity, and produce the next generation consumer and industrial 5G devices. This webinar will focus on the different markets, device requirements, and associated challenges. It will also reflect on how customers can optimize the process from design to verification and production with compatible test strategies. Typical workspaces with RF, signaling, and application test cases will be demonstrated based on the R&S CMX500 wireless communications tester that features a full breadth of FR1 and FR2 band combinations and simplified user interfaces and wizards for the best user experience and ease of work.

In this webinar, the following will be discussed:

    • Types of 5G devices, markets, and use cases: eMBB, IIoT/RedCap, Fixed Wireless Access, NTN
    • Design challenges for the different 5G device markets and use case
    • 5G device test strategy to speed up the design
