IEEE Southeastern Michigan: Chapter VIII (EMC)

 


Attached is a map of the campus.  The engineering building is roughly in the center.  People will need to enter the campus at the McNichols entrance and tell the Public Safety Officer at the gate where they are going and ask where they should park.
 
The event will take place in room 340 (3rd floor) of the engineering building.

RF Current Probe Maker Meeting

Have you ever wanted to have your very own RF Current Probe?  Well the Southeastern Michigan IEEE EMC Chapter is hosting another Maker meeting where you will have a chance to build your own small current probe.

The University of Detroit Mercy is providing the lab facilities, and is our pizza sponsor.   There is a non-refundable $5 charge for this event and seating is very limited.   COVID-19 Masks are required but not provided.

Candace Suriano is a graduate of GMI Engineering & Management Institute (BSME) and has graduate degrees from Purdue University (MSME, MSE) and the University of Dayton (Ph.D.). She is the author of numerous papers and magazine articles on electromagnetic compatibility, and she chaired an antennas and probes workshop at several IEEE EMC symposia. Her interests are in the areas of electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetic modeling. Candace is a mom with interests in MOM. She may be contacted at: candacesuriano@gmail.com .

John Suriano is a graduate of GMI Engineering & Management Institute (BSEE) and has graduate degrees from Purdue University (MSEE, PhD). With Candace, he has authored numerous papers and magazine articles on electromagnetic compatibility. His interests are in the areas of electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetic modeling.
