The IEEE ACT Section is delighted to invite you to its Annual General Meeting, to be held on Thursday 01 December 2022, @ Black Mountain Pennisula, Garryowen Dr, Acton ACT 2601 (near the kids playing area)

This event is open for all IEEE members in the ACT and their partners/families including children. Please mark your calendar.

Note: Adult Non-members need to pay $10 per person to confirm their attendance. Members and their children below 16 have free entry. Details of payment are mentioned in the registration form link below. Please register and pay in advance by 25 November 2022 COB.

Agenda

6:00 pm: Drinks, Link Room

6:15 pm: Dinner.

7:00-8:00 pm: Children Activities (Ms Joey Lee who will run an Animé/cartoon drawing activity with the children attending the AGM)

7:30-8:30 pm: Annual General Meeting and board election

8:30-9:00 pm: Wrap up and closing

Nominations are now open and solicited.
At the AGM we shall confirm received nominations (see below) and will strive to fill all vacant positions.

Each term is for one year starting 1 January 2023.

Under IEEE rules, no position may be held for more than four consecutive years and not more than six years in total (with interruptions). However we have been applying so far a two year maximum period for any position. Exceptions will be made in cases where no other candidates are available.

Nominations will close by COB 15 November, 2022.

If there is more than one nominee for a position, then election will take place. Any positions still vacant at the AGM will be open to nominations at the AGM for filling. Also a candidacy statement may be requested and made available to members attending the AGM and those members providing an apology for the AGM (unless we can go through electronic vote)

Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Vice Chair

Membership Development, Professional Activities, Educational Activities, Students Activities, Teaching In Service Program (TISP), Webmaster and Newsletter editor

Chapters Chairs for:
