Hands-On Workshop on Tinkercad
The IEEE-VSIT Student Branch organized a fun and interactive workshop on 13th August 2022. The topic of the event was “Hands-on Workshop on TINKERCAD”. The workshop saw a considerable number of participants from VSIT which was around 60+ in number.
Maitreyi Gharat (General Secretary, IEEE VSIT SB) welcomed all the participants and faculty members who were present for the event. Dr. Sarika Chouhan (Branch Counsellor, IEEE-VSIT SB) introduced the resource person of the event Dr. Hannan Satopay, Chairperson of IEEE Bombay Section as well as a Member of Autodesk Tinkercad Advisory Team.
Dr. Hannan Satopay started the workshop by formally introducing himself to the participants and then proceeded on to explain what Tinkercad is. He also talked about various uses of Tinkercad. He demonstrated how to use Tinkercad to create circuits, 3D designing and writing code for Arduino.
Each student had to complete a basic project like making a blinking LED and making 3D models. Dr. Hannan Satopay checked the projects made by all the participants, helped the ones who were struggling and praised the ones who did good. The participants with best 3D models were awarded IEEE goodies as a prize. He also informed the participants of some useful websites like Instructables and Hackster.
He then thanked everyone for participating in the event and after a brief photo session, he concluded the event.
