Opening remarks were given by Mr. Mirza Taha Ali Khan, Student Chairperson IEEE, LIET, Final Year EEE Department. In his opening remarks, he addressed the perks and benefits of the IEEE Student Branch and illustrated about the various societies of IEEE to which students got motivated to be a part of the student branch of IEEE at Lords Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Dr. Anitha Patel, Student Branch Counsellor, Professor CSE & Dean IQAC has addressed the gathering and informed about the process of IEEE utilization through workshops, seminars, and other benefits to the students.
Dr. C.V. Narasimhulu, Principal, LIET has addressed the gathering and Informed about the plan of management of how they are coming forward to help students develop their technical skills. Also, the need for association was explained to the i.e. to share knowledge.
Sir has informed us that he is a member since 2009 and now he is a Sr.Member from 2016 onwards.
Ms. Rizwana Begum, Secretary has Congratulated to Principal & Dr. Anitha Patel, Student Branch Counsellor for taking up this initiative and extended sincere thanks to the delegates from IEEE, Hyderabad for helping the authorities in establishing the IEEE Student Branch at L.I.E.T.

Has addressed the gathering with many essential things associated with the IEEE student branch and disclosed the benefits and opportunities for the student members within India and Abroad. It was reported that the certificate issued by IEEE is globally recognized and renowned.
Office bearers are also internationally recognized and can get a chance to represent Hyderabad, India.
It was also ensured that all mentors will support the students and professional bodies helps students to elevate one level ahead.
Dr.Sai Kumar Tara, SAC Chairman, IEEE Hyderabad Section in his keynote speech addressed each and every aspect of the IEEE Student Branch and the key benefits to the student members. Several benefits which were not known to many students were also informed—also informed about 39 societies & 9 counselors. Importance of member of a professional body and ensures IEEE Hyderabad will provide full support to the student branch and the members. Student Branch Operations & procedures in detail were also shown in the presentation to the participants during the inaugural session of the IEEE student branch.

It was also disclosed that the organizations are looking for people who can address the gathering, can work effectively and efficiently with the Importance of networking, and get connected with professionals. It is completely driven by the students.
Biography:
Dr.Y Vijayalata , an academician with more than 21 years of teaching and research experience, Dr.Y.Vijayalata, Professor and Head, Department of Information Technology; completed Ph.D. from JNTU Hyderabad. She earned M.Tech. in Computer Science from BITS, Ranchi.
Dr.Y. Vijayalata ’s area of research includes Image Processing, Cloud Computing and Big-Data Analytics. One of her scholar have completed Ph.D. and two are pursuing Ph.D. under her supervision. She have published more than 25 papers in various journals and conferences. She also mentored TCS student internships at GRIET.
She is the HEAD, Department of Information Technology, since August 2013 onwards. Prior to this, she worked as Professor in Department of CSE at GRIET from November 2007 to August 2013. The department of IT is NBA accredited twice under her dynamic leadership. She played instrumental role both at department and institutional level during NAAC and UGC inspection. Under her leadership, the institute is successfully organizing the National Level Technical Fest “PRAGNYA” in association with the professional bodies at GRIET for the past 10 years. Active participant, involved in all the college activities including in-house projects designed for the students. Attended many workshops/conferences (national/international) conducted by JNTUH, NIT (Warangal) etc.,
She is the recipient of “Distinguished Leader in Engineering” Higher Education Leadership Awards-HELA 2018, Venus International Foundation. Also, Recipient of “Best Head of Department (IT)” by ITSR Foundation Award-2017.
She is the Branch Counsellor for IEEE GRIET Student Branch since 2011 onwards. And also Branch Advisor for IEEE Women In Engineering (WIE) at GRIET. She is the advisor for GRIET TEDx 2017.Chief Coordinator Spoken Tutorials IITBombay 2016-2017.
